Narendra Modi our beloved Prime-Minister yet again has taken India to newer heights at the world-stage. He has beaten other world leaders, artists and politicians as the Most Influential Figure in 2016 among the people who voted.
India’s pride Modi is on a war foot to root out corruption and malady of black money from India’s soil, on what is being called the surgical strike on Black money, the de-monetization move has been well received from the citizens across the country. Although there are stray cases of inconveniences for the people in collecting cash, what is great to see is the massive support for such a drastic move which has shaken the country’s economy. This just shows the popularity and the following Modi has attained over the few decades in his political life.

These results provide a look at how the world sees people in public life.

Modi won with 18% vote when the poll closed Sunday. He’s placed well ahead of his closest contenders, including Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Julian Assange, who all received 7% of the “yes” vote. Modi also placed far ahead of other prominent figures of this year, like Mark Zuckerberg (2%) and Hillary Clinton (4%).
